Running On Empty: Short Film for The North Face
Running On Empty is a short film I created for The North Face following one of their athletes, Rory Bosio, as she attempted the fastest known time across the GR20, a 120 mile trail across the island of Corsica. On average hikers traverse the island in 2 weeks along the course. Bosio planned to do it in less than 50 hours. We spent over a week and a half on the island to prep and get coverage of the trail before setting out to document the attempt.

Setting off on the trail at sunrise in the town of Cadenza.
Bosio takes a break to lubricate legs, rest and to consume much needed calories during the middle of the attempt of the GR20.
Logs of distance, check points and times along the trail.
Support crews traverse the island along highways and meet at checkpoints where the GR20 crosses the roads. These become rest points for Bosio to eat and rest before setting off to run through the night.
Power naps are essential to surviving a 50 hour run across 120 miles in the mountains of Corsica.
All smiles at the conclusion of the 120 mile trail
Post run recovery soaking in cold mountain streams.
