THE NORTH FACE

As the Senior Producer at The North Face, I built and lead their Content Team which won numerous adverstising awards and helped release Free Solo, an Academy Award winning documentary in 2019. Not every production was built to garner awards, building a strong brand voice through entertaining content or informing the consumer is equally important to what I love doing.

Instead of showing a montage of the best footage of the body of work I produced for The North Face, I felt showcasing the sheer volume of work I produced in the span of 4 years gives a better overview. During 4 years as Senior Producer I lead and art directed content on over 120 different documentaries or short films with my team while also producing The North Face’s seasonal campaign photography shoots.

MInted Broadcast Commercial

Part of a 2022 Digital and Broadcast campaign to support a product innovation at Minted.com. Role Director Of Creative Production.

FreeBird - Broadcast spot, NBC.

The North Face sponsored the US Freeski Team and provided uniforms for the team that competed in the Olympics in 2018. This commercial went broadcast and won a Silver Telly Award in 2018.

Smiles For Miles - ORGANIC AND TARGETED SOCIAL SPOT

My team and I created this video to carry the consumer into the social, retail and eCommerce experience via running with The North Face. This spot announced the launch of the Fall 2018 Flight Series. Role: Senior Producer

CURIOSITY Trailer

In 2014 I travelled to Chamonix with The North Face to produce and create a film over two weeks about 3 runner’s attempt to complete the UTMB, a 100+ mile race through the mountains of France, Italy and Switzerland. As a runner who has completed 3 marathons I really enjoyed making this film about the sport. As a consumer of content I’m extremely proud of this work because it’s not just a film about running for a really, really, extremely long time. It’s a story told through individuals and how the race brings the local community out to be part of this exciting event.

STEEP SERIES ADVERTISEMENT, THE NORTH FACE

Steep Series is The North Face’s pinnacle expression of their ski and snowboard apparel. For this season I had the opportunity to both produce and art direct the seasonal advertisement with director Nick Martini. Martini came to me in 2017 with this concept but at the time The North Face didn’t have the budget. I believed in the work and asked him to let me budget for it in the next Fall season. We and his crew at Stept Studios won a 2018 Telly Award for the piece.

ICELAND PHOTOSHOOT: THE NORTH FACE

We spent 9 days exploring ice caves on the largest glacier in Iceland and product testing gear under the northern lights while sleeping in tents on our icy playground. Photos by Tim Kemple.

The North Face Athlete Team Headshots

Clayton Boyd and I teamed up to document the entire athlete team from 2016 - 2018 and travelled from California to New York and everywhere in between. The look and feel was all Clayton’s, herding the cats and wrangling all the production to bring that vision to life was all mine.
